Having made it through the holidays I rested just long enough to freak out about having to make a spectacular cake surprise for my husband's birthday. Last year's cake was an "ACME" bomb...
that was quite literally a bomb. By the way, do not eat after exploding. So what to do this year, well another exploding cake of course. This year it was 3 sticks of dynamite (cake dynamite with another source of "boom" inside them) wired to an alarm clock.

Post second detonation. The hole to the left is from the ACME cake and the smaller hole at the bottom of the cake spray is from the Dynamite cake.
After the first detonation, our daughter saying, "Daddy cake, Boom!"
